Dog and Cat Boarding in North Richland Hills

The boarding facility at Cornerstone Animal Hospital is carefully supervised by our veterinary team. If your pet has any medical conditions requiring care or experiences an emergency, our team is available to assist promptly.

We are dedicated to providing exceptional care for your pet during their stay with us. You can leave your pets here with confidence and peace of mind. While we offer a quality Science Diet to our guests, pet owners are encouraged to bring their pet’s own food and treats to help avoid diet-related issues.

Playtime and Daycare!

Your pet will have free access to water, food, and treats, along with comfortable bedding and backyard walks at least three times a day. We provide playtime and lots of love. If your pet needs extra playtime, please inform our staff at check-in. Should your pet require a bath or grooming during their stay, just let us know and we’ll take care of it! For pets with pre-existing medical conditions or needing medical attention during boarding, our experienced staff will manage their care—please inform us in advance. Cat Friendly Boarding

Cornerstone Animal Hospital is a cat-friendly practice. We understand that cats need privacy and separation from dogs for a comfortable stay. We offer a separate boarding area dedicated to your feline companions, accommodating both day stays and overnight boarding.

Long-term Boarding

We provide long-term boarding based on availability. We strive to make your pet’s extended stay as comfortable as possible. For boarding, pre-payment of at least 50% of the estimated stay, valid identification, and a credit/debit card on file are required.

Day Care

If your pet needs daycare for a few hours or the entire day, our experienced staff will ensure a comfortable stay with playtime, individual attention, and cozy bedding.

Boarding Policies

Vaccinations

The following vaccines are required for boarding at Cornerstone Animal Hospital:

Dogs: Canine Distemper-Parvo, Bordetella (Kennel Cough), and Rabies
Cats: Feline Distemper and Rabies
Ferrets: Ferret Distemper and Rabies

All vaccinations must be administered by a licensed veterinarian, and proof of current vaccinations must be provided before check-in. If vaccinations are expired or boosters are needed during the stay, our veterinarians will perform a physical exam and update vaccines as required. Regular exam and vaccination fees apply.

Flea and Tick Prevention

Our boarding facility is a “No Flea Zone.” To protect all pets and the facility, flea prevention is administered upon arrival. Since many flea preventatives do not cover ticks, if ticks are found on your pet, tick prevention will be applied at an additional cost.

Personal Belongings

We welcome pet parents to bring favorite food, treats, blankets, leashes, and toys. We make every effort to identify and return personal items, but we cannot guarantee against loss or misplacement.

Pocket Pet Boarding

We also board some exotic pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and ferrets. Please bring their preferred food, treats, bedding, cages, and toys.

Ferret Vaccines

Ferret Distemper and Rabies vaccines are mandatory for ferret boarding. Please provide proof of vaccination by a licensed veterinarian before check-in.

Boarding Deposit

New clients, long-term boarding, and holiday boarding require a minimum 50% deposit of the estimated boarding cost at check-in. This deposit will be applied toward your final bill. Holiday reservations require a non-refundable reservation fee, which is credited toward the final bill. Cancellations within two days of the scheduled check-in or no-shows will forfeit this fee.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off

Pets can be dropped off during business hours: 8am to 6pm weekdays, and 9am to 3pm Saturdays. Pick-up is before 1pm daily. Late pick-ups (after 1pm) will incur an additional day’s boarding fee.

Unclaimed Pets

If a pet is not picked up by the agreed check-out time and the owner is unreachable despite reasonable contact attempts, the pet will be considered abandoned. In such cases, laws regarding abandoned pets at veterinary facilities will apply. Owners or their representatives remain financially responsible for all boarding charges and services, including any legal fees incurred.
