Whether it’s a broken bone, a tumor (mass), a twisted stomach, or even a swallowed coin, we will take care if it! An X-Ray consult with a Board-Certified Radiologist is available at all the time.

Ultrasound (Sonography)

An ultrasound examination is a very safe diagnostic tool used for imaging your pet’s abdominal and chest organs and to evaluate heart function. At Cornerstone Animal Hospital we can evaluate your pet for several abnormalities such as an abdominal or chest tumor, fluid/blood in the abdomen or chest, a pregnancy test, a uterine infection (pyometra), foreign material in the stomach or intestines, fluid in the chest (pleural effusion), fluid around the heart (pericardial effusion), stones in the urinary bladder, and any other problems in the internal organs.

This process is done to evaluate heart function, heart chamber sizes, and valve functions. The staff at Cornerstone Animals Hospital will conduct an echocardiography of your pet’s heart by appointment only. In many situations, an X-Ray is used prior to ultrasound examination. WE will also help conduct and review these studies and make advanced treatment recommendations when deemed necessary.
